The annual iRead read-a-thon kicked off on Saturday, January 6, with a fun-filled event at the Highland Park Public Library. The iRead celebration featured local authors, a fabulous story-teller, multi-media experiences for kids, Readers’ Theater and story time with some of D112’s most beloved teachers. Most importantly, the event drew hundreds of students from across the district, all eager to start logging their reading minutes to win the coveted iRead trophy for their school.
