The 112 Education Foundation is proud to fund the Day of Giving service-learning program for Northwood and Edgewood students with a Foundation Grant. On Friday, December 10, students participated in an assembly discussion about the importance of giving back led by Northwood principal, Dr. Martinez. Following the assembly, students made blankets, ornaments, cards and personal hygiene kits for local families. On Saturday, December 11 over 200 Highland Park and Highwood families received these items, along with food, dry goods and winter weather supplies.
Kudos to these NSSD12 students for making a difference in our community and thank you to Northwood teachers Ida Fiori and Constance Cunningham, and Edgewood teacher, Lori Wyatt, for organizing this Foundation Grant program.
