Thank you to the over 1000 families who attended the iRead Kick-Off event on January 11 at the Highland Park Library. Students interacted with local authors, were entertained by a professional storyteller, and heard many of their favorite teachers read. Thank you to the Highland Park Library for hosting the event and collaborating with the 112 Education Foundation to create this opportunity for local families.
The Kick-Off event marks the official start iRead 2020, the Foundation’s annual read-a-thon. Now through February 5, students in the elementary schools, and Green Bay School, are logging their reading minutes. The school with the most minutes read per student will win the highly coveted iRead Trophy! Funds raised during the iRead program help support author visits in all D112 schools.
