Thank you to the hundreds of D112 families who attended the 2019 iRead Kick-Off Event at the Highland Park Library on January 12. The event was a huge success! Students interacted with local authors, were entertained by a professional story teller and heard many of their favorite teachers read. Thank you to the Highland Park Library for hosting the event and collaborating with the 112 Education Foundation to create this opportunity for local families.
The Kick-Off event marks the official start iRead 2019, the Foundation’s annual read-a-thon. Now through February 6, students in the elementary schools, and Green Bay School, are logging their reading minutes. The school with the most minutes read per student will win the highly coveted iRead Trophy! To sponsor your favorite D112 readers, click here. Funds raised during the iRead program help support author visits in all D112 schools.
