Hundreds of students and their families joined us at the Highland Park Public Library on January 11th for the 2nd annual kickoff event. Children were captivated by the readers, excited to hear Chris Fascione and his unique storytelling and excited to purchase books and have them signed by the area authors. We thank the Highland Park Library for partnering with us and bringing in these wonderful authors and performers. All students who attended received an extra 30 minutes of reading time! Many students from Lincoln came out early to hear the Lincoln teachers read. Will those extra minutes make the difference in the race for the trophy?
