The benefits of Foundation Grants often go far beyond the school year for which they are written. Orchestra students at Elm Place, Sherwood and Indian Trail continue benefiting from electric instruments purchased in 2011 and 2012. According to music teacher Elizabeth Duke, “They are a wonderful recruiting tool and unique playing experience for the orchestra students.” And, Karen Grost’s Kamishibai Japanese Storytelling Grant from 2015-16 continues on this year for Indian Trail students.
