Book Buddies is a NSSD112 Foundation Grant monthly meeting program. Academic Enrichment Reading students buddied with a LEAP student, practicing fluency skills by reading aloud picture books centered around central themes like “Acceptance.” After the reading activity, students took part in an activity or a craft that practiced the acceptance ideas from the given book while building relationships with his/her buddy.
