   District 112 FUNd Run and Family Walk

Proceeds from the FUNd Run provided need-based scholarship opportunities for District 112 families

and other Foundation initiatives.

 

This is a rain-or-shine event (no cancellation due to weather).

Event Details:

Saturday, September 26 at Ravinia Festival (main gate)

8:00 am – 5K start
8:05 am – Family Walk start

All participants should be lined up at the start by 8:00.


Packet Pick-Up:

Thursday, September 24 from 12-6 pm
Friday, September 25 from 12-5 pm

Packet Pick-Up Location:
Indian Trail School (2075 St. Johns Ave.)
in the warehouse/garage building at the east edge of the parking lot

*All participants must get race packets at packet pickup.

Entry Fees:

5K:
Student: $25 flat fee
Adult: $40 (until 9/22), $50 (starting 9/23)

Family Walk:
Student: $15 flat fee
Adult: $25 flat fee

Special rates for D112 teachers, military families and students of low socioeconomic status are available. Email 112educationfoundation@gmail.com for details or speak to your building principal.

Athletes with disabilities:

The FUNd Run partners with Dare2Tri. Accommodations, race support, adaptive equipment or guides are available to athletes.

FUNd Run Information:

 

  • Dogs are not permitted on the course or on the Ravinia Festival grounds.

  • Please send pictures to 112educationfoundation@gmail.com, or tag us on social media (@112foundation).

  • Strollers are permitted on the Family Walk but not on the 5K course.

  • Sooters and bikes are not permitted on the Family Walk or the 5K course.

  • This is a rain-or-shine event. 

  • Parking is available at no cost in the main Ravinia lot (200 Ravinia Park Drive – enter off of Green Bay Road).

  • This is an open course. There will be cars driving on the opposite side of the road.  Do not cross the yellow line into oncoming traffic.

  • There is one water station on the 5K course.

  • Kids should be accompanied by an adult.

 

Dri-fit shirts are back!

All race participants will receive a FUNd Run 2026 t-shirt*. Those who prefer, may opt-out of the race swag and contribute more of their registration fee to the scholarship fund.

New this year – we are collecting used running shoes for Shoes For Runners.

 

Bring any used running shoes to Packet Pickup on Thursday, September 24 (12-6) or Friday, September 25 (12-5) or bring used running shoes on race day. There will be bins labeled for donations.
