Reel 112 Film Festival

The 2023 Reel 112 Film Festival was held on Monday, May 15. The festival was held at the new Wayfarer Theater in Highland Park. This year’s festival featured 25 films, including six elementary films and two films made by district faculty.

The event was complete with a red carpet, step-and-repeat photo op and paparazzi. Films tackled difficult issues like stress, test anxiety and the aftermath of the Fourth of July in Highland Park. Other films told clever stories using a variety of formats including lego stop-motion animation. Thank you to Edgewood CMA teacher Elaine Allison and Northwood CMA teacher Laura Baartmans for their efforts with D112 filmmakers and their support of this program.
